NETWORK MANAGEMENT

Network Practices:

Bardstown Connect uses non-invasive, and best-effort network management practices to ensure that all of its customers maintain high quality connections to the internet. These practices are designed and implemented to provide a fair and reasonable access to our customers and protect end-users from activities that can unreasonably burden our network infrastructure or compromise our security.

Bardstown Connect operates generally under the pretenses of Net Neutrality in practice and principle, and treats all internet access as it pertains to our customers use of our network in equal light.

Key features of our network management practices are as follows:

  • Bardstown Connect does not block, inhibit, deliberately deprecate (“throttle”) or deny access to any specific applications or classes of applications, websites or types of websites.
  • Bardstown Connect does not restrict the types of devices that can connect to our network, and makes reasonable efforts in conjunction with customer input to accommodate compatibility with BYOD end-point equipment.
    • A list of end-point (Cable modem or Fiber ONU) devices with known issues can be found on our website FAQ page: https://www.bardstownconnect.com/faq/
  • Bardstown Connect does not entertain or engage in offers of paid prioritization from any party or entity.
  • Bardstown Connect does not favor or discriminate, directly or indirectly, any kind of traffic over any other kind of traffic.

Bardstown Connect through the use of third-party associates provides industry standard security capabilities and accommodations for customers email addresses, as well as modern Spam Filtering tools to bolster end-user security.

Bardstown Connect implements industry standard precautions and security technologies in its network core infrastructure to keep all traffic in transit secure and protected.
